Susan Chesser Branch

Susan Chesser Branch is a legal assistant and writing consultant for the law firm.  Over the past ten years, she has worked with the Draves Law Firm and their clients, participating in a wide variety of literary projects.  She has edited book proposals, screenplays, children’s books, fiction, and non-fiction; written screenplay critiques, treatments, synopses, loglines; assisted in meetings and correspondence with film/TV production companies; and conducted extensive interviews for research and writing projects. 

Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and English from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.  She was an Editorial Assistant at Duke University News Service, taught Journalism and English at many public and private high schools, and has been a free-lance writer/editor for the last ten years.  She has written for newspapers, magazines, anthologies like Chicken Soup for the Grandma’s Soul, edited books such as Inner State 80: Your Journey on the High Way by Dr. Joel Hunter, and penned private memoirs for several distinguished central Floridians.

Susan is also very active with Variety – the Children’s Charity of Florida, serving on several committees to plan fundraising events for helping children with disabilities.  She is a member of several local writing groups and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.  Susan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, traveling, dancing, hiking, and yoga.
